This afternoon and evening whilst canvassing, I received many congratulations from residents of all parties. Mainly for the fact that I was walking the streets every day and listening to residents. i was also complimented for engaging and listening, even if they were not supporting the conservatives.
Most people know that I am not a career politician. My approach is to listen to residents and try and get things done. They called that the KISS method in the army - Keep it short and simple. Residents are disgruntled by politicians of all parties who don't deliver. As the residents told me today, they see me as a breath of fresh air. Straight talking and straightforward.
