Yesterday I attended the D-Day service at Holyrood Church followed by the parade to Guildhall Square. I joined the Lord Mayor of Southampton, Sherriff, former Lord Mayors, Deputy Lieutenant, the Bishop of Winchester and others for the service.
Thank you to all the armed forces personnel and cadets for the parade.
As an army veteran myself, I thank all veterans for their service. Remember the fallen.
