Today I met with female-led business owners who want to grow their companies and take on more staff. One of my priorities is to buy local and support local SMEs. By doing this, we can create more value for business owners locally. They in turn can recruit more staff and apprentices, who will help the local economy grow. By sharing prosperity for all, this will allow us to grow our tax income as a country and fund the public services we deserve.
I was happy to meet so many female-led businesses today. We need more in Southampton.
