Today I canvassed local residents in Peartree and received lots of support. I was also told about the council not allowing residents to pay for drop kerbs. Why not? There is no cost to the council as the resident is paying. Moreover, parking cars on driveways will keep the highway clear. Win win. The council is not doing it and letting residents down.
I was also asked about how I would help improve local colleges. I mentioned to residents that I had invited the Secretary of State for education, Gillian Keegan, to visit Itchen a few weeks ago. I suggested to the residents that I would always listen to residents and argue for more funding.
