Today I listened to residents in Sholing who were concerned that they have to travel so far on bad roads to the General, if they need medical treatment.
I reminded them that the government have a clear plan to take bold action. The government plans to:
- Increase NHS spending above inflation every year,
- recruit 92,000 more nurses and 28,000 more doctors,
- driving up productivity in the NHS,
- moving care closer to people's homes through Pharmacy First,
- new and modernised GP surgeries and
- more Community Diagnostic Centres.
