Sidney Yankson supports the £4.7 billion to transform transport across the North and Midlands

I fully support the Government in the £4.7 billion fund to transform transport across the North and Midlands. The transport budget targeted at smaller cities, towns and rural areas will fund projects that matter most to local communities. 

I would also urge the Government to focus on Southampton transport. The same problems with transport infrastructure occur in Southampton. I would ask for funding to:

1. improve the waterfront and make it pedestrian friendly,
2. fix potholes,
3. build a train stop at St. Mary's Stadium,
4. improve the local bus networks, and
5. provide a bus service for retired and low-mobility residents living alone.
